Measles
Each year 1 million children will not reach their 5th birthday due to a vaccine preventable disease. Measles is a highly infectious disease that kills at least 430 children EVERY DAY. Under partnership with GAVI Alliance Lions Clubs have pledged to raise worldwide US$ 30 million to improve access to vaccines. Funds raised will be matched by the Melinda Gates Foundation and the UK Department for International Development (DFID)
